Do you know how to control your mouse pointer with your face? Or how to utilize webcam to move the mouse? Try Enable Viacam. It is truly a great app to do that futuristic controlling style today. You can try to move your mouse easily with your head. The application will detect where your face is, and then based on the location, it will move your mouse. It works with wireless webcams.
How to use Enable Viacam?
- Download Enable Viacam
- Install it on your laptop or PC equipped with a webcam.
- Run the Enable Viacam (Connect your web cam (for external USB web cam))
- Open it and your camera should focus on your head.
- The wizard configuration window will open. Follow all the steps. Choose "Next" to continue, the first window is with camera settings.
- Try it yourself. It is really amazing.
Notes:
- Your camera should work with at least 25 fps (more info provided in that window) so if you see more than 25, choose "Next". In the next window leave the default option selected "Locate face automatically" and move on. When you reach "Pointer Calibration" window you have to move your head as instructed in order to configure the apropriate motion parameters. It will ask you to move your head to right-left and then up and down.
- Use slow but steady head movements. The web camera will track the movement of your head.
